The Law of Success.

Last week at work I started reading a book called The Law of Success In Sixteen Lessons, by Napoleon Hill.
 I'm only about half way through it but it's been a really good read so far. It makes you think differently about the way we approach trying to find success. Changing the way we think about things and the attitude with which we approach things can make a big difference. I recommend this book to anyone trying to better their life, as its already started to change mine.

Finding a niche with Market Samurai

I've been putting heaps of thought into a niche market that I'm interested in. And think I'm gonna go with something to do with cars. Before I started out at the mines i had just started a business. The business I started is in paintless dent removal for cars. So I'm thinking maybe start a blog or website on auto body repairs, dent removal, car detailing and so on...
So my niche market will be auto body repairs or something along those lines anyway.
I've also recently found out about a program called "Market Samurai". this programs is really good for keyword research. I purchased the full version today, and have just started going through the tutorials on it. It seems like an excellent tool for keyword research.

Well back home with my two girls for another week. THANK GOD!!! Always great to get home after a week away from your family. Ok, so this week at work I read a book called Think and Grow Rich Internet by Stuart Zadel. This was a great book for getting a bit more of an understanding for how to make money online. There is six chapters each covering a different way of making money on the internet, starting from affiliate marketing, to creating your own online information products to sell. I'm not gonna go into great detail but definetly recommend reading this book just to get a better understanding of different ways people are making a living from home. Some great tips.

Back to work.

Well last day at home. Fly back to work in the morning for a week. I hate having to leave home and go back to work. And instead of just enjoying the last day at home with my family, i get depressed and spend the day moping around because I have to leave again. But... Need to keep the money coming in so what can you do. That's why I want so badly to start working from home online. I'm buying a laptop when I get home. That way when I go back to work from now on I can take it with me. I will have more time on my hands at work than I do at home. Since I've been trying to find out how to make money online, that's just about all I've been doing when I'm home. Therefore taking away time I should be spending doing stuff with my wife and little girl. So that's the plan. Get my laptop when I get back next week, & wireless broadband.
Set everything up while I'm on my week off at home. Then when I get back to work I'll be good to go. So till next week!!!

There is so much information on the internet it does my head in some days. You can go to thousands of sites trying to tell you that their service or money making system can make you rich quick. BUT I DON'T THINK SO!
I'm still trying to figure out which "niche" i want to market. There are that many options and possibilities that you hear about or think of, and that many different things that could work, but how do you know if it WILL work. Because after all that's what I want to know! Will selling this product or service actually make me some money?
I really want to come up with a product of my own to sell. But in the meantime I just need to start making some money, and fast.!!! So how do I do this???

Where Do I start.

In the past couple of weeks i've read a few books (which I'll list below) on starting your own internet buisness.
First thing a couple the books say is that you need to pick a market to target, or as they call it, a "niche".
But i'm even having trouble doing that.
So things I'm interested in?.........
1. My family: Recently had a beautiful baby girl
2. My home: Just about to complete a 3yr renovation
3. Cars: I'm a panel beater/spray-painter by trade.
4. Money: Need to make some hehehe

Replacing my Income

So... I'm gonna try and keep track of the things I do to reach my goal. Which is to replace my current income, which is about $1200/wk, by using the internet. There must be a way to make money online that would be easy enough for a beginner to comprehend. I'm not too bad on a computer and don't have any trouble navigating my way around the net, but that's about as good as I get. So if there is anyone out there in the same boat as me who want to make a living online, let me know. Or anybody that can give me any tips!!

I currently work on a mine site in the Northern Territory, Australia. But I live in Far North Queensland. I'm away from my family for a week at a time. I want to try and find a way to be at home all the time, and not have to work away. Especially since my wife and I have just recently had our first child, and leaving home each time I fly out is getting harder and harder. So I want to try and figure out a way to replace my income using the internet. In short, I want find out how to make money online.
